What is SoundPod?

SoundPod is an open exploration of Sound Healing and is meant for anyone seeking nourishment of the body, mind, soul. This gathering provides an opportunity to bring people together in a comfortable environment to explore sound and its effects on the body, mind, and spirit.

Sound has a well-documented effect on our physiology, neurology, and psycho-chemistry. These effects, in turn, produce changes in well-being and awareness. When people gather with intention and work with sound, great positive changes can occur.  At SoundPod, we become increasingly aware of how the conscious use of sounds can relieve stress and clear blockages in our body, creating a sense of well-being and joyful expansion.

Each SoundPod is unique, and they can also build on each other for those who attend more than one.   Sound Pod is experiential and is open to people of all skill levels.

SoundPod is facilitated by Lauri Shainsky, Ph.D., and her student/friends who have been in her soundhealing classes.  Lauri is an Associate Teacher/Healer at Light Song School of Shamanic Studies, Reiki Master, and ceremonial singer, with an active practice in shamanic sound healing and Reiki. She has studied shamanism for 12+ years and has been blessed by having great teachers, including Jan Engels-Smith, Michael and Sandra Harner, Tom Kenyon, Betsy Bergstrom, and, of course, her compassionate spirits. You can make an appointment for a private sound healing session where you will experience energetic clearing, and a return of soul essence and vibrancy through shamanic sound techniques. She has an office in SE Portland, as well as at Hidden Lake Retreat.
