9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Recollective Awareness Meditation is a flexible, gentle approach to Buddhist meditation that offers an authentic way to investigate your inner world. By exploring your meditation experiences, you naturally cultivate awareness and beneficial states of consciousness.
At this retreat there will be periods of sitting meditation, silent reflection, and group discussion. New perspectives are discovered in small group and individual interviews facilitated by the teacher. Beginning and experienced meditators are welcome.
Nelly Kaufer serves as the resident teacher for the Skillful Meditation Project in Portland. Because she has witnessed a more intimate understanding of Buddhist dharma and a kinder regard for the variety of meditative experiences, she is dedicated to Recollective Awareness Meditation. In addition to teaching meditation for the last 28 years, she is a psychotherapist with a longstanding practice.
Hidden Lake Retreat Center (www.hiddenlakeretretreat.org) is nestled in the forest on a small beautiful lake in the Cascade foothills about 45 minutes from Portland. Carpools will be arranged.
Costs: $40 (for use of the facility and vegetarian lunch)
The teachers in this tradition do not charge a fee for their work, they offer the teachings freely and generously. They rely on students’ donations or “dana” as the sole support for their teaching activities. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
To register: Send $40 to Nelly Kaufer,
