The lodge, grounds, and wildlife at Hidden Lake Retreat provide a peaceful nourishing place for intimate retreats. As soon as you arrive, you will feel a sense of ease and letting go.

The Lodge:
The original lodge was built in 1912, and was lovingly renovated and expanded by the innkeepers in 2005. Rustic charm blends with modern comfort to create a full-service classic Oregon retreat.

Relax and gather in the grand room with a large river rock fireplace. Read, discuss your day, play music, or convene your workshop.

Greet your day in the sunroom, with intimate views of the lake. Enjoy morning coffee and scones, meditation, creative projects, or small gatherings.

Sleep soundly and comfortably in one of our guest rooms:
. A private room with a queen and twin bed with a lake view
. A private room with two twin beds with a lake view
. A semi-private library area with an elegant queen futon
. Our sunroom with optional twin deluxe adjustable airbeds

All beds are lavishly adorned with fine linens, down-filled comforters and lots of pillows.

All rooms are serviced by three shared bathrooms.

Indulge yourself with a restorative bubble bath in a claw-foot or soaking tub drawn especially for you.

Enjoy our bright dining room with hand-made oak Amish furniture while overlooking the tranquil lake. Fresh, creative, nourishing food and friends await you. We specialize in fresh, local, seasonal foods lovingly prepared for you.

Special Notes to Our Guests:
Guests with allergies should take note that we have two cats and a dog. Guest bedrooms are kept cat- and dog-free, but our pets do roam the property.

Hidden Lake Retreat was designed for retreat. We do not have a TV on the premises, and guest rooms do not have telephones.

There is a wireless network, so those who need to can stay connected.

Cell phone coverage is limited.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.

Grounds:

Hidden Lake Retreat offers a variety of settings for relaxing, gathering, meditating, teaching, wandering, snoozing, encountering wildlife, and more.

The 7 acres at Hidden Lake Retreat include a fish ladder (constructed in the early 1920's), pasture, wetlands, a mature holly orchard, an old-growth rhododendron garden and forest habitats.

The vintage fish ladder and cascading falls create a soothing sound that can be heard from anywhere on the property.

A covered wrap-around porch accommodates year-round needs for relaxation, sleeping, napping, dining and workshops.

The pasture invites large gatherings and ceremonies as well as camping and wandering.

The deck over the lake brings this peaceful body of water right under your feet.

The holly-orchard (whose plant essence represents unconditional love) creates the perfect environment for the tipi, wandering, and future site of the labyrinth.

The tipi sleeps three and can be used for ceremonies, meetings, and personal retreats.

A sweat lodge lives on site for specifically-requested ceremonies. Requests are traditionally made by offering tobacco to the Water-pourer.

Wildlife:
The bird-life at Hidden Lake Retreat is vibrant -- wood duck, great blue heron, black-headed grosbeak, osprey, common yellowthroat, great horned owl, red-tail and sharp-shinned hawk, and Rufus hummingbird are just a few of the species you will see and hear.

While black bear and elk roam the nearby forests, river otter, beaver, deer, coyote, red fox, and short-tail weasel wander our property on a regular basis. Coho salmon, steelhead, and cutthroat trout inhabit our lake. They are being monitored and encouraged to multiply through onsite conservation efforts by Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Come see and enjoy!
